According to statistics, slip and falls is one of the leading causes of major injury. When we fall, we may not take it seriously, and try to ignore the pain. We often don’t realize the severity and possible complications that can arise from a slip and fall, such as vertebral misalignment, subluxations, pinched nerves and soft tissue damage.

Even though it’s true that some slip and falls don’t result in permanent changes to your body, some of them can lead to neck injuries, muscles soreness and even disability.

Most slips occur when there is less friction in between your foot/footwear and the area you are walking on. Falls, in their turn, happen when you lose your balance and are unable to recover because of a slippery or uneven surface.

If you fell or slipped and the pain doesn’t go away, you should visit your chiropractor for evaluation as soon as possible.

Your body is resilient, yet fragile. It consists of numerous bones, ligaments, vessels, joints and muscle tissue. And if any of them is injured, it can trigger chain reaction in your body. For example, if you injury just one joint in your spine, it causes it to inflame, surrounding soft tissue to swell, muscles to spasm and pain to appear.

So if you have fallen or slipped and experience pain and pain-related symptoms, you should visit your chiropractor for remedy.
